A dream backyard that started with two Melwood’s – A few Years on with more established gardens & a pool to die for, Jamie share how he two Melwood’s have added value to her life & her property!
Jamie purchased her two Melwood’s a few years ago and is proving just how versatile they can be with a growing family & business.
“I was working inside the home. I was taking up the whole house, so I was getting on my family’s nerves a bit.”
Originally purchased for her Macramé business, Jamie used her smaller Melwood to store her roles of Cotton, and kept her larger Melwood for her Workshop & Creative space.
After hours, the cabana serves another purpose, a relaxing space for the family of seven.
“I know the twins like going in there and watching their shows on the iPads.”

“So my work studio at my home got taken over by a corporate man (aka the hubby) secretly I was sick of having to army crawl into my bedroom every time he was in a zoom meeting so I’m cool with it.”
With five kids under the same roof during lockdown, David had nowhere else to work, so was using their bedroom. It’s a familiar situation many of us find ourselves in, as we’ve spent more time at home since covid. Jamie kindly let David use one of her Melwood’s as his home office!
“He loves it. He likes being out of the bedroom because it was like he slept there; he woke up, he was there all day….Your bedroom should be where you relax, not where you do your high-stress corporate job.”
David & Jamie have really proved just how much value their Melwood’s have added to their lives & how they are so versatile when it comes to the changing needs of their family.
“He doesn’t have to worry if the kids are yelling. He doesn’t have to tell them to be quiet or get out of the house.”
